Wow, we’re here, we did it, Clover and Dot is up and running and looking as beautiful as I had imagined.
Some of you might be following us over from our old ‘Tracy Thompson Photography’ page and some of you might be new, so I thought a little behind the scenes post was in order to kick things off here.
This is who I mean when I say us (thats us below). Us, is myself and my family. Even though I am the sole shooter here, I address us as an us, as we are a team behind the scenes.
That handsome man right there, he’s the one who brings my crazy ideas to life. Whenever I need a handy man to create something, from props to hand crafted photo products for clients, he’s my guy. He is really rather clever . . . and patient!
And those two mini people are the source of my inspiration and motivation. They are also my amazing assistants on the countless location scouting expeditions we take, to make sure we always have new and exciting backdrops that transform your images into pieces of art!
We love the outdoors, sports and travel(not as much of this going on now with kids in tow). We have a crazy Irish setter dog and a big fluffy orange cat. Theres a lot of red head love here! We live by the beach and LOVE IT, and are currently gearing up for our first new build, and doing the Reno thing on our current house (call us mad!)
Our home is Westport, a little town on the West Coast of the South Island or New Zealand, which is also home to some of the most amazing landscapes you can find (I may be a little bias but seriously its beautiful here). My passion is to incorporate these beautiful backdrops into your images to make them art pieces for you to swoon over for years to come.
And so that is us!
I would also love to take this opportunity to do a little shout out to Amy at www.tinkercreative.co.nz, who designed our beautiful website. I will be the first to admit that Im quite possibly the most painful client to work with when it comes to anything to do with design, and Amy not once flinched when I changed my mind for the hundredth time. So a massive thank you goes her way, I am very grateful for all of your time spent on this with me, making it perfect not only on the front but for also making it easy and efficient for me from the back end too.
